So, the game is about a troll adventuring in the forests of Scandinavia. But what can you do in it?
There are plenty of quests to accomplish - everything from assassinating other trolls to slaughtering entire human villages, and from finding mythical artifacts to helping trolls in their everyday tasks. Sometimes you also have to consider who you'll help: by helping someone, his enemies may become your enemies.
In addition to the scripted quests, there is an unlimited amount of randomly generated quests in the game.
While roaming the lands of Far North, you must make sure to eat enough. You may obtain food by stealing cows from the human farms, hunting down bears, picking up mushrooms, growing your own field of turnips, setting traps, and in many other ways.
In addition to strength, an important thing in the troll society is respect. A low-respect troll is despised, and won't get help for hunting trips, for example. But if you're respected enough, you may even found your own troll clan and control it the way you want. Be a peaceful commander who solves difficulties through diplomacy, or a bloodhungry warlord who slaughters everyone who dares to stand in his way. You can earn the respect of other trolls by killing strong animals such as bears and elks, helping other trolls, or just by beating stronger trolls in a fight.
